Lesson 1

You should have now learned the phonetic alphabet and the tones needed for the chiense language. We must now learn how to combine these sounds to form chiense words.

Explanation

When asking a question in chinese as in english one would add an unpronounced question mark to the end of the sentance. In chinese the word ¶Ü is used at the end of the sentance to indicate a question phrase. Another method of asking a question is to use the ©O this is similar to the use of ¶Ü but is only used when a question has been asked of you and when wanting to ask the same question back. (See Below For Example)

B: I am fine, thankyou. How about you?

 
A: I am also doing well. Thankyou.
